Does your domiciliary care agency have enough care workers?
In a recent survey, 92% of UK domiciliary care agencies struggled to attract enough care workers to match the growing demand for their services.
Most had a waiting list for people requiring care, some of which exceeded one year.
If you're like most domiciliary care agencies, your best source of advertising for new care workers is through online job platforms such as Indeed, Fish4jobs and Gumtree?
The hit rate from job platforms like these is better than other sources but the quality of candidates is hit and miss? Applicants don't meet the basic requirements, for example being able to drive with access to a reliable car. For those candidates that do qualify, there is a high rate that don't attend the interview.
You have a website and would like to receive more care assistants applications through it.
Does this sound like you? Then read on…
What would it mean for your care agency if you had a consistent source of pre-qualified care assistants applying?
The way carers search for jobs has changed. Every month over 103,300 searches are made online for care assistant jobs in the UK, yet most domiciliary care agencies don't have a digital marketing strategy in place and are losing out.
So how does it work?
Over the last two years, I've developed a digital marketing strategy for attracting care workers. It consists of four key phases:
Through extensive research, I've identified search terms the quality candidates use when searching for care assistant roles through Google.
I use this to fill your pipeline with highly targeted, quality candidates.
I provide informative and educational content to the candidate to help them understand the role and create a loyalty to your company as they work their way through the recruitment funnel.
The candidate's engagement is tracked using my candidate scoring system. When their candidate score is high enough, they proceed to phase three.
This is a three-stage process:
Does the candidate pass the minimum requirements for the role. E.g. Do they drive, with access to a reliable car?
If the candidate passes the screening questions, their application will be submitted to your recruitment team.
The rate of no-show's is greatly reduced by allowing the candidate to schedule a call when they are applying for a job.
I measure and refine each stage of the funnel to ensure you're always getting the most care assistants.

I commonly hear care agencies say they've already tried online marketing such as Facebook advertising or Google Adwords to attract new care assistants without any success.
What all these examples have in common is their approach - They're focussing on the last stage of the funnel (applying for the job) rather than engaging and educating the candidates.
This inevitably results in two scenarios.
Hi! I’m Robert Games and I’ve been involved in digital marketing for the better part of fifteen years. After my friend suffered a spinal injury 4 years ago I wanted to use my experience to help home care agencies improve the quality of care and help more people like him.
For the last 2 years, I’ve specialised in using digital marketing to help domiciliary care agencies like yours attract more care assistants so you can help more people who are in need of care.
Whilst there are many marketing agencies who specialise in the healthcare industry, I am the only digital marketer who focusses on helping domiciliary care agencies attract more care assistants.
